Notice of the Extraodinary General Meeting of
Q:Alliance
to be held on 21st April 2008 at 9pm at
the Entertainer, Central Milton Keynes after Q:recruit

2. Election of Additional Trustees/Directors (Trustees are the same as Directors)
At the same time as increasing our activity level, we also need to appoint some additional Directors to oversee it all!
Directors are resonsible for seeing that the organisation is focussing effectively on it’s aims, and that it is managing it’s finances effecitvely and staying solvent. A meeting once every 6-8 weeks is planned, and Directors are also expected to keep in touch with the work of the organisation, and act as advocates for Q:alliance, in between meetings. They may also volunteer as task leaders or volunteers as well, but that is optional. Financial liability, providing we comply with the law, is limited to £1.
They will join John Goss, Peter Kingham, and Jenni Ferrans as existing Directors.
Members present are asked to elect (by show of hands) between 1 and 9 additional Members to be the Directors of the Company and Trustees of the charity until the next AGM (expected September), and up to two Members to be Directors representing the Youth Groups.
Nominations of members to the Committee should be made by any member of the organisation to the Secretary, Jenni Ferrans, at Q:alliance, David Baxter Centre, 63 North Seventh Street, Central Milton Keynes, by 6.00pm on April 21st 2008 or in person at the meeting by the start of item 2. Members nominated must be over 21, not undischarged bankrupts, and must give their consent.
Please note that Extraordinary General Meetings do not take “Any Other Business”, but we will have plenty of time to discuss other topics during the session!
