Q:alliance offers a whole host of activities and services for young lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people, and for people just questioning their sexuality too. These include:
- A weekly youth group with permanent specialist staff.
- Partnership working on projects with mainstream youth agencies.
- One-to-one support, whether you just need a listening ear or further information on a whole range of issues, or you’d like someone to advocate for you or provide any other practical support.
- Events such as Barbecues, visits to other LGBT youth groups, and trips to Pride parades.
The youth group is our most popular service, with a whole range of young people attending from within Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. We get up to all sorts, including general chatting and socialising, playing pool, watching films, doing arty crafty stuff, using the PCs, having guest speakers and a whole range of other things besides. It’s really up to you what the group does in the future, as it’s a “user-led” service, meaning we encourage everyone who attends to have an input into what happens within the group.
GROUP TIMES
- *** WEDNESDAYS *** from 7.30-10:00pm - aged 13 - 25
