It’s time for Q:meet! Friday 6th June – 8pm

Q:meet is a chance to meet great people in the MK and Bucks area!

Do you want to meet new people?

Do you want to be more involved in the LGBT community?

If you’re new to MK, new to the LGBT scene, or just looking to expand your social network, this is the night for you.  This gathering is open to all and we hope to make it a regular event.  Tell all your friends, everyone is welcome!

Meeting at The Entertainers - the new LGBT pub in Fenny Stratford (opposite Pink Punters and up a bit) at 8pm. Look out for us gals and guys and come and say hello, we’ll find a way to make ourselves known.  We’ll be moving on to Pink Punters a little later in the night so whether you fancy a quiet drink in the upstairs bar, or trying out your dancing shoes on the main floor, there’s fun to be had for all…

MK Gallery Tea-party

Tim Clapton, a time-to-time volunteer at Q:alliance, is organising an informal tea-party at MK Gallery on Monday 2nd June at 4:30pm.

There is a Cathy Wilkes exhibition at the moment, her exhibition may raise issues of feminism and women in our society. Some of the people attending will be women from local churches.

The idea is simply to look around the exhibition and then to talk about it over tea and cakes! Visit http://www.mk-g.org/ for more info about MK Gallery.

Tim is eager to attract a diverse group of tea drinkers! (men and women) Email Tim (tim {at} mkchaplain.org(.)uk) by Friday 30th May to let him know if you’re attending (he needs to know how many cakes to get).

Please pass this on to anyone you think may be interested.

Enduring Loves

Relate MK

As part of Relate’s 70th birthday celebrations, the UK’s largest provider of relationship counselling and sex therapy is looking for special couples and individuals over 70 years of age to tell their stories of love and lust and how relationships have changed since the 1930’s.

The people behind the project are talking to lots of diverse people including people with disabilities, people in mixed race relationships, people who’ve moved to the UK and LGBT people.

They would preferably audio tape people but it is also possible to send in written stories. Current or old photos illustrating the stories are also welcome. Some of the interviews will be used on Relate’s website and may be included to a short booklet celebrating 70 years of relationship history. Contributors can request to remain anonymous should they choose to.
