LGBT Adoption & Fostering Week
Adoptionplus is a therapeutic voluntary adoption agency:
20th February 2012 from 6 – 8pm
We have two central beliefs: adoptive families need effective support and all children deserve to grow up in safe, secure families. We are looking for LGBT people who are prepared to consider adopting children over the age of 5 years where they have a history of early life trauma.
Adoptionplus employs a team of creative arts therapists, occupational therapists, social workers and teachers who they are all trained in developmental trauma and attachment models of therapy. All our families have access to this support until their children reach 18 years. We are holding an open evening for LGBT people interested in adopting at the Adoptionplus Office in Moulsoe, near Milton Keynes, on Monday 20th February 2012 at 6 – 8pm.
If you are interested in learning about the children who need families, the process for adopting and to hear from LGBT people who are changing children’s lives, then we would love to hear from you. Just call 01908 218251 to speak to a member of the team.
