Delia’s Trans Advisory (more info) A CIC (Community Interest Company) that we provides a range of personal services and advice to individuals, family members and friends regarding gender correction (re-assignment). They also provide specialist advice regarding equality and diversity to organisations within the private, public and voluntary sectors to raise awareness and to help promote understanding and acceptance. Making a gender change, whether permanently or not, can be a traumatic experience. MK FFLAG (Friends & Families of Lesbians & Gays) FFLAG (Friends and Families of Lesbians & Gays) is a group set up to support the friends and families of lesbians and gays, bisexual or transgender people. FFLAG is a continually growing national voluntary organisation and registered charity with 18 telephone helplines across the UK and parents’ groups which hold regular meetings. The helplines are there for any one who has concerns over the sexuality of their family member or friend, where they are able to voice their fears, frustrations and joys. Where they can speak to some one who is coping, who understands and accepts their child’s sexuality. STaSS An independent HIV/AIDS support service in Milton Keynes. It works with people of all ages, races, genders, ethnic backgrounds, religious beliefs or sexual orientations. They run 3 support groups, one for men one for women and one mixed group. The dates and times of the support groups are on our events calendar. The Gender Trust The largest Registered Charity in a position to help adults throughout the United Kingdom who are Transsexual, Gender Dysphoric, Transgender (i.e. those who seek to adjust their lives to live as women or men, or come to terms with their situation despite their genetic background), or those who’s lives are affected by gender identity issues. Mind.org’s factsheets on LGBT and mental health The factsheets aim to address some of the mental health issues specific to the lesbian, gay and bisexual communities. It also addresses the attitudes and discrimination that the LGB (but not T?) community is often met with, both by the NHS and society as a whole. The sheets can be found here.

Broken Rainbow Support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people experiencing domestic violence. They have a new helpline number: 0300 999 LGBT (5428) which is free to call even from mobiles. For further info click here.
Muslim Gay Mens Forum A group for discussion, information and support for believing Muslim gay men who wish to maintain their faith and continue to serve Allah while they are at various stages of dealing with and accepting their homosexuality. The group can be found here.
