A person with good finance knowledge is needed to support the Q:alliance Board of Trustees; perhaps a qualified or part-qualified accountant, or a book keeper. The Treasurer is responsible for setting the budget for the year, managing the accounts, ensuring that controls are in place to meet legislative requirements, presenting monthly reports to the Board of Trustees, and filing accounts to the Charity Commission. Training will be provided where necessary and the current Treasurer will do a full hand-over. The Treasurer is not responsible for the day to day financial processing but will need a good understanding of SAGE and be prepared to be a cheque signatory.
